Appeal for witnesses and information following racially aggravated public order incident in Eastleigh

We are appealing for witnesses and information following a reported racially aggravated public order incident in Eastleigh.

During the incident, which occurred between 5.45pm and 6.10pm on Wednesday 22 April, it’s reported that an unknown man approached the victim at the bus station on Upper Market Street, outside Sainsbury’s.

The man then proceeded to racially abuse and threaten the victim – a woman aged in her 20s.

The man we would like to speak to in connection with this incident is described as;

•    White
•    Aged approximately 60 years
•    Between 5ft 5ins and 5ft 7ins tall
•    Grey receding hair and beard
•    Slim build
•    Wearing a blue jacket and carrying two bags, one of which was a rucksack

We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and recalls witnessing anything of it.
